Stories are a wonderful resource that we have teachers, educators, and families to work with almost anything. When we talk about values, it can be much easier to transmit them through a story, a poem or a fable than with a “master class”.

Throughout our lives there may be cases where we need to work as a team or the help of others to achieve our goals. Knowing our limitations and knowing how to ask for help is also important.

In this post I want to share with you some stories to discuss in the classroom, or at home, the topic of teamwork, cooperation and help.

The little white rabbit

The main character of this story is a litle white rabbit. He has a problem: the goat is at his home and do not want to go out. He needs to ask for help to some animales, but they are scary of the goat and don’t want to help de rabbit. Finally, the ant help the little white rabbit to come back home.

A taste of the moon

Several animals want to know what the Moon tastes like … but it’s so high! None of them even touch it. But … what if they all try together? They climb on top of each other to form a tower so high, so high, that they manage to take a bite out of it. One by one they would not have succeeded.

Swimmy

Swimmy is a small fish that lives with a group of fish that are not exactly like it; but the day a tuna attacks them … it is the only survivor. He begins to discover the ocean until one day he meets a school of fish of the same species. Those fish, who are just like him, live in hiding and in fear. But Swimmy, who has seen that the world is wonderful, convinces them to join forces and come out of hiding. Together they will not fear that big tuna!

Camila the zebra

Camila is a zebra and, like all zebras, has black and white stripes. But one day the bandit wind leaves him without stripes, and Camila becomes very sad. While looking for his stripes through the forest, he meets several animals that make him feel better by giving him some special stripes. It’s not her stripes … but Camila returns home grateful and a little less sad
